Believe You Me #332

By Michael Dagen on September 9, 2023

Life is longer in present moment
love grows stronger allow to flourish
fruit much sweeter ripe on tree
sex so sacred believe you me
stupidity contagious with broadcast lies
humans choose lazy given choice to fly
self work result of suffering
with no legs on table floor we meet
idealism has place but not always
read the script know role to play
astrology takes long study
never blame game or fear transiting
whistling wishes pass out hard
cherishing stable proven ground
worth shown by actions here
Truth our guidepost lean on dear.

Wanting US #331

By Michael Dagen on September 8, 2023

half ass harvest when alone
one dog buries fewer bones
giving up on blowing kisses
predicting future waste of wishes
long cold winter checkin’ mail
singing songs for only angels
operation spankings fills my heart
still residing lovely eyes full of sparks
making mixtape of your voice
mapping signature such wild noise
nice to see our names together
you warned hierarchical message nature
feeling cutoff yet alluring trust
fires burning wanting us
this my way to let off stream
bugs on tree I dream of thee.

Bedrock #330

By Michael Dagen on September 6, 2023

How deep is your bedrock
buried beneath trauma and shock
weighted down by untruthful living
generations of followers wishing
faulty dreams sold lullabies
twisted stories comprising lies
tough habit to kick thick bullshit
confusion sickness consensus pit

here let me hand down a rope
we are meant to create heaven no joke
this our mission can you remember
pass corruption’s testing hammer
all in service to The All
evil sings out worthless call
battle fought within lost minds
Truth a savior found in time.

Billy Was Here #329

By Michael Dagen on August 29, 2023

We will forever carry marks
from those who broke our heart

sparks often ark in the dark
fizzling soon after passionate start

ego love fishy business
mental game played with wishes

takes dancing lesson tango
kicking cupid shuffle may bring pain yo

careless conception our plight
paradise lost by dashboard light

like blind bats out of hell
repeated patterns scream red flag bells

can you be yourself to the max
with partner adoring whole package

rarest kind of match
two souls healed from past crap mapped.

Slippery Heaven #328

By Michael Dagen on August 23, 2023

Thankfully only top button
anymore prude punishment
tough to slip and slide eyes
with cap down blocking hot light
realized it’s not about rain
wet bodies our synchronistic maze
foreshadowing outcome if truthful
skinny dipping creeks forever youthful
nature peeping in at your fine art gallery
me in the bushes playing paparazzi
just a few daydreams shared dear
I want you in every way
including shared life every day
beauty and brilliance rarest sight
you fill massive void drought ridden night
thank you for blessing this heaven right.

Pain Lure #327

By Michael Dagen on August 19, 2023

microdose comatose
cheating enlightenment
ripe with consequence
do be leery
of Timothy Leary
servants of ignorance
inverted mind trance
life’s a trip
drugs our bib
skipped steps repeat
hopscotch junkies
avoidance medication
empty salvation
titillating temptation
this realm’s education
only self love
overcomes trauma’s burden
when lost lovers a blur
machine brain pain lure.

Blue Ribbon Pair #326

By Michael Dagen on August 15, 2023

In life nothing so rare
as a blue ribbon pair

you dress with such flare
please let down your hair

notice when we meet
rain fills up the streets

just gods shedding tears
true love being near

I take this wet sign
you may never be mine

cherishing any time
with your authenticity of mind

such a gift is your presence
one look makes my head spin

all this in a good way
blessings galore with each day.

Lovely Haunting #325

By Michael Dagen on August 13, 2023

dark carriage of love
slow moving through mud
lit lightly by moonbeams
lone rider pondering choosing

rough roads brought us here
detours often appear
face loss as companion
burden in cargo suppression

inspiration swoops in then away
do notice what we say
limits placed with patterned breath
unconscious repeating abuses

truth game always at play
empower another each day
this our gifting economy
keep loving past death of the body.

Master Baiter #324

By Michael Dagen on August 8, 2023

Not into fishing yet master baiter
imagination king for horny hermit neighbor

swollen prostate caused by sexual woes
raw oysters a date for old solo bros

still not blind after all these years
remember first time vics vaper rub tears

get around whole coveting sin bit
by loving all ladies including married fave mostest

life is a spectrum where on meter do you register
own present role sometimes play jester

complementary relating creates lit bedroom
find vedic animal signs to see if party vroom

nothing worse locked in story of bores
author own book with happy endings galore

cat’s out the bag this poem not for prudes
next rub on genie’s lamp I’ll be thinking of you ;)

Thin Mind Line #323

By Michael Dagen on August 4, 2023

do the hokey pokey across thin mind line
one side planning death opposite living loving life

when limbo stick finally hits floor
step on over or trap door opens more

useless words said through glass wall divide
when one decides to punch ticket destination change waste of time

robo calls mostly pretend things always fine
not doing self work burns out soul sensing eyes

critical caring how best to say it
rewrite your story til dance and play fit

when gratitude missing like foreign bed fellow
we wallow in pain prison of own making hello

courage can’t bud soon enough
family trees need pruning for light to reach trunk

fumbling old keys to love’s mothballed museum
I dream of ease while kicking ass through testing season.

Heaven’s Gate #322

By Michael Dagen on August 3, 2023

Please say goodbye
when it’s time to fly

I do not lie
you brighten lives
of all near bye
including mine

wild water cannot stay
in stagnant lake without play
steam and rain shifting phase
may your river forever run my way

as a man I’ve claimed land
a mountain range
heaven’s gate
here I’ll stand with anchored plans

waiting the day
we become mates.

A Marker #319

By Michael Dagen on July 28, 2023

Someday I may
miss razor edge way

not painful when pondering play
subtle awareness work done each day

why rush dreams drying slow breeze
two line ends tied to growth trees

this pattern it seems
so much mine

hot wire no neutral ground fine
purpose designed for this wondrous mind

tasting real after lifetimes of wait
makes one forget about fate

can life become better shared
with Truth foundation for sturdy pair

check back with me in due time
loving hearts risk all opened wide.

Winter’s Watching #318

By Michael Dagen on July 28, 2023

Winter the fully clothed creep
watching beach goers
from under shady tree

she is so skinny
someone says out load
about girl with white leashed dog

numerous signs say
no hunting in park
three boys fishing flunked english
since covid killed learning’s weak spark

families wade deep
waiting for cool pooling water
between pockets of pee

me I try to stay clear
of noticing anything
while daydreaming of thee.

Class of 68 #317

By Michael Dagen on July 24, 2023

right of passage to rebel
container testing cracks in bell
ring me once you’re sick of hell
heaven opens when Truth is pall

so who may shout there crazy one
parade of watchers rotten tongues
disappointing cast all school reunion
projection weapon stupidity brewing

what year was it that had some class
remember way graduation felt
freedom finally from friends and foes
trauma bonded through growing dolts

witnessing it you’d think enough
to end busing babies away on drugs
this how pitiful pattern painfully persists
appealing to authority rather then empowering kids.

Make Fluffle #316

By Michael Dagen on July 22, 2023

fungus bouquet
what do you say
sound like a plan
I’ll be your man
most of time mellow
all around odd fellow
not making waves
deep ocean on brain
hooked endless beauty
hungry for mystery
poor venus plight
40 more nights
can’t see the stars
in bed before dark
what happens there
make fluffle my dear.
